Overview

As Data Visualization Lead I led BI and performance reporting across the Consumer Banking and Card segments. The work covered requirements, a centralized SQL Server data warehouse integrated from Oracle and core systems, dashboards in Power BI, SSRS and Oracle BI, automated multi-frequency reporting, and Row-Level Security for branch and department-level access.

Business problem

  • Branch and product performance across 900+ branches needed consistent, timely reporting.
  • Consumer Banking and Cards data lived in Oracle and other core systems, not in an analytics-ready store.
  • Access had to be restricted by role, department and branch to meet governance and regulatory expectations.
  • Daily to yearly reporting cycles required reliable automation.

  • Led requirement gathering, dashboard development and BI infrastructure implementation.
  • Designed and managed the centralized SQL Server data warehouse.
  • Led scheduled ETL from Oracle and other core systems.
  • Implemented RLS on Power BI Report Server and oversaw BI infrastructure.
  • Led and mentored a team of analysts.

Implementation

    Centralize data

    Designed a SQL Server data warehouse populated by scheduled ETL from Oracle and other core systems, with data-quality and consistency checks.

  2. 02

    Build the dashboard estate

    30+ Power BI and SSRS dashboards covering credit cards, loans, liabilities and branch performance, plus OBI dashboards and reports.

  3. 03

    Automate reporting cycles

    Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports on automated schedules.

  4. 04

    Secure access

    Row-Level Security on Power BI Report Server for role-based visibility across departments and branches, with scheduled on-premise refreshes.

  5. 05

    Raise capability

    Mentored analysts to improve MIS accuracy and data literacy across the Consumer Banking Group.
